Our Learning and Actions for 2020-2021
This year, Walter Lee Staff have taken the information collected in the previous school year and have chosen to continue with our focus on Mindset in the area of Math. As a familiar starting point for staff and students, in December, we administered the same three grade-appropriate surveys across the school community that we adminstered in the previous school year. You can see the questions our students were asked in grade groupings of K/1, 2/3 and 4 to 7, in 'Our Actions Blog' below. The compiled results of each of these surveys are now documented and represented in circle charts. You will find these in 'Our Evidence Blog' below for both the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years. The findings portray results leaning towards a developing positive mindset to Mathematics at Lee throughout the past few years. The findings also inform us of areas where we can work to improve attitudes around engagement in activities and challenges, as well as strategies we might employ to assist in increasing enjoyment and confidence levels in Math.
