Parent Information Sessions
The Richmond Public Library will be holding Parent Information Sessions, presented in partnership with Settlement Workers in Schools and the Richmond School District. Support your children's learning by attending one or more of these sessions:
Thursday, October 5th, 4:00-5:00 PM - School Expectations: What expectations do schools have of their students? Learn how to help your child have a successful year in school. Presenter: Margaret Paxton, Principal, McNeely Elementary.
Thursday, November 2nd, 4:00-5:00 PM - Math Success: Methods of teaching math have changed over the years. Find out how your child is learning math and how you can provide support. Presenter: Janice Novakowski, Teacher Consultant, Learning Services, Richmond School District.
Thursday, December 7th, 4:00-5:00 PM - Progress Reports and Communicating Student Learning: The way schools share your child's progress is changing! Come to this session to learn how to interpret the evaluation methods used. Presenter: Elizabeth Taylor, District Administrator of Learning Services, Richmond School District.
