Our annual Lee Lion Prowl-A-Thon will be held Friday May 5th, 2017.  Our theme this year will celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.  Wear your most patriotic Canada-wear and come out to run, jog, walk or “prowl” around our school track.  Family and friends are also welcome to join us on the “prowl”.  Not only is this an opportunity to applaud our fundraising efforts from throughout the year, but it also celebrates our school community and spirit in a unique and healthy way.  At the Prowl-A-Thon, we will also draw for prizes generously donated by local businesses.  Prizes include gift certificates, tickets and passes to local attractions, as well as merchandise.  Please see our PAC bulletin board and website for a list of prizes.  Pizza parties will also be awarded to the class with the largest total contributions, and to the class with the largest number of students which make contributions. All students who have made a financial contribution to the PAC in response to this campaign by May 4th, 2017 will be entered into this draw.  If you have already made a financial contribution to the Walter Lee PAC in response to our letter last February, your child has already been entered into our draw for prizes at the Prowl-A-Thon.  Thank you for your contribution and please disregard the remainder of this letter.  At this time, we are reaching out to the remainder of Lee parents and families to ask you to consider giving a financial contribution to our Walter Lee PAC this year so that we may continue supporting our students.  We are still short of our fundraising target.  Our goal is to raise $7000 this year through this campaign. We greatly appreciate any amount you may choose to contribute.  If you contribute at least $30 per student, your child will receive a Canteen Voucher (value of $5 at Canteen Lunch) as a special thank you gift for your support.  Tax receipts are also available for contributions of $30 or more.  The PAC encourages all parents and families to get involved and support our children’s learning in whatever way you can; as a parent volunteer if you have time, and/or with a financial contribution.  If you have any questions about how to get more involved in the PAC, please contact us at Walter_Lee_PAC@yahoo.ca.
