Lee Lions, get ready to “PROWL”!!  Our Lee Superhero Prowl-A-Thon 2016 will be held on Friday May 6, 2016. Every spring the PAC organizes a major community event called the “Prowl-A-Thon”. Our “Prowl‐A‐Thon” has been a tradition for many years. Our Lee Lion students, together with family and friends, will be “prowling” the track at our school one day in May. Not only is this an opportunity to applaud our fundraising efforts from throughout the year, but it also celebrates our school community and spirit in a unique, healthy way.  More details concerning our "Prowl-A-Thon" will be provided closer to the event. In advance of the "Prowl-A-Thon", we are reaching out to all parents and families of students attending Walter Lee Elementary to ask you to consider a financial contribution towards the Parents Advisory Committee (PAC) to be used for student activities throughout the year.  A 2nd letter regarding this request has recently been sent home with students (attached below).  Our goal this year is to raise $7000 through this campaign.  Every dollar raised will go directly to support Walter Lee’s 310 students.  Please show your support by sending a donation.  Tax receipts are available for donations of $30 or more (please complete the tax receipt form, attached below).  If you donate $30 per student, the PAC will also provide a $5 voucher which can be used at a Canteen Hot Lunch during the course of the year.  Your contributions made throughout the year will be counted towards ballots for prizes drawn on Prowl-A-Thon day. Your contribution will help create the best possible learning environment and experience for all students.  Recently, PAC funds have assisted with providing buses for field trips, special speakers, fine art classes, library books, gym equipment, and updated emergency preparedness kits.  Coming soon are a new filtered water station and more classroom projectors.  Please show your support by sending a donation.  To make a contribution, please complete the form at the bottom of the contribution letter (attached below) and return along with your cheque to the black PAC mailbox.  Thank you for supporting your children, Walter Lee Elementary, and the PAC!
