Our 11th annual Lee Lion Prowl-A-Thon will be held Friday, May 4th, 2018.  The Prowl-A-Thon is a walk-a-thon with a Lee Lion twist.  Our theme this year will be Star Wars: “May the 4th Be With You!”.  Calling all Jedi and Sith, Rebels and Imperials, to come out and run, jog, walk or otherwise “prowl” around our school track.  Family and friends are also welcome to join us on the “prowl”.  This PAC fundraising event celebrates our school community and spirit in a unique and healthy way.  At the Prowl-A-Thon, we will also draw for a variety of prizes including gift certificates, tickets to events, admission to local attractions, and merchandise.  This year’s prizes include: Gift cards and certificates from Richmond Centre, Safeway Broadmoor, Shine Auto Wash, The Keg Steakhouse, Cora, Vancouver Circus School, and Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl & Grill. Admissions to the BC Sports Hall of Fame, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Sea to Sky Gondola, and UBC Botanical Gardens. Tickets for Vancouver Canadians baseball, BC Lions football, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and Westcoast Sightseeing Hop-On Hop-Off tours. Memberships for the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, the Museum of Anthropology, Maplewood Farm, the Richmond Oval, and the Britannia Mine Museum. Birthday party packages at The Hive Bouldering Gym, and Wayland Sports.   These wonderful prizes have been generously donated for our event by these local businesses.  Thank you to all our community sponsors for their support!  In addition, two class pizza parties will also be awarded to the classes which have (1) the largest amount of total contributions, and (2) the largest number of students which make contributions.  Our Grand Prize this year is a Playland Prize Package including One Day Playland Admissions for the winning student and their immediate family, and White Spot gift card. Although we are well underway, we have not yet met our fundraising goal to raise $6000 for our school through this campaign.  If you have already made a financial contribution to the PAC, thank you for your generosity and kindly disregard the remainder of this letter.  Your child will be entered in the Prowl-A-Thon prize draw. To all remaining families, we are asking you to consider making a financial contribution to your PAC. If you contribute at least $30 per student, your child will receive a complimentary Canteen voucher which can be redeemed for a free lunch (a pizza slice, juice box and small snack, or equivalent value) as a special thank you for your support.  Tax receipts are also available for donations of $30 or more.  If you contribute to this campaign by May 3rd, 2018, your child will be included in our prize draw at the Prowl-A-Thon event.
