Special Guest Speaker: Evan Dunfee
Canadian Olympian and KidSport ambassador, Evan Dunfee, will be visiting our school on Friday, November 16th. Evan Dunfee, a race walker from Richmond who competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics, is walking 25 kilometres for 25 days and speaking to 25 schools to raise money and awareness for the charity KidSport BC. At his school talk, he will speak to our students about the transformative power of sport. KidSport is an organization that raises money to help kids stay in organized sport, who otherwise might not have been able to afford it. See the attached 2018 Fact Sheet for more information. To help support this charity, Ms. Bazso will be championing some fundraising activities whose proceeds will be donated to KidSport. Popcorn will be on sale at Runch on Friday, November 15th for $1 per bag.
