Parent Information Sessions
The Richmond Public Library will be holding Parent Information Sessions, presented in partnership with Settlement Workers in Schools and the Richmond School District. Support your children's learning by attending one or more of these sessions:
Thursday, January 16th, 4:00-5:00 PM - School Resources for Emotional Support: Does your child complain of tummy aches when they have to go school? Do they experience big emotions that are hard to handle? Find out what resources and supports are available in schools. Thursday, February 6th, 4:00-5:00PM - Coding and Computational Thinking: Coding and digital literacy are essential skills in today’s world. Find out what kinds of digital skills your child will be learning in school. Presenter: Chris Loat, Curriculum Coordinator for Technology, Richmond School District. *Mandarin translation available.
Thursday, March 5th, 4:00-5:00PM - Preparing for Graduation: What is required to graduate and how can you start making plans for post-secondary life? Learn about resources available for education and career planning during the final years of secondary school. Presenter: Mark Pattern, Counselor, McMath Secondary. *Mandarin translation available.
