This year, our school's focus is on Growth Mindset.  “In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment.” (Dweck, 2015)  As a staff, we are looking at strategies that will help us to support student learning particularly in the areas of self determination and self regulation.  At our recent Pro d day on Sept. 24th, the staff at Lee worked with Ms. Ellen Hsu-Kondratowski from the District's Area Counselling Team (ACT) to explore ways in which we might do this.  Samples of student work included in these Posts
