Upcoming AGM!
Attention!! The PAC Annual General Meeting is on Wednesday, June 17th, 5:30PM and we need YOU to shape next year's PAC!!
Did you know the PAC is responsible for funding so many important parts of your students' school experience? The PAC funds technology, classroom supplies, field trips, guest speakers, playground equipment and more! How does this involve YOU? The PAC cannot exist without the Lee community attending the AGM, nominating themselves or someone else and voting! Without the ESSENTIAL positions filled at the AGM (see below), the PAC will not exist next year and there will be no funding for the important school items the PAC supplies!
These ESSENTIAL positions MUST be filled :
PAC Chair - oversees the entire PAC, creates monthly meeting agendas, ensures PAC meetings are attended and that important agenda items get voted on by the PAC. Appoints committees where authorized to do so by the Executive or members and is one of the signing officers of the PAC.
PAC Treasurer - creates the PAC Annual Budget, tracks PAC spending, maintains and reports on the bank accounts of the PAC and is one of the signing officers of the PAC. Completes and submits the Annual Gaming Grant application and completes and submits a year-end financial report to the Executive.
PAC Secretary - records and distributes monthly minutes to the Executive. Works in tandem with the Communications Coordinator to ensure communication is disseminated to the Walter Lee community.
The following positions are vacant and need to be filled (they can also be shared!):
Hot Lunch Coordinator - plans and prepare hot lunch options for students, coordinates with hot lunch vendors, organizes and leads lunch distribution through a team of parent volunteers, has valid FoodSafe Certification (or a willingness to obtain certification through the PAC).
Fundraising Coordinator - plans and organizes PAC fundraisers, coordinates with fundraising partners to set up fundraisers and obtain necessary fundraiser information to provide to the Walter Lee community, creates and distributes fundraising promotional materials to the Lee community.
District PAC (RDPA) Representative - acts as a liaison between Walter Lee Elementary School PAC and the Richmond District PAC, attends RDPA monthly meetings and report any updates and information to the PAC.
Communications Coordinator - disseminates communication from the Executive to the Walter Lee community via various channels including including social media, liaises with the Executive regarding communications, works in tandem with the Walter Lee PAC Secretary.
