Welcome and Introductions 

K.C. called the meeting to order at 5:35pm, Land acknowledgment, and thanked all in attendance. 

Review and Approval of Agenda: Motioned by D.L. and Seconded by K.B..

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes (October 2024):  Motioned by J.B. and Seconded by D.L.

 

Chair Report (K.C.) 

M.F. and T.S. appointed as Co-Secretaries.  M.C. will no longer be able to fulfill his role as Secretary due to personal commitments.

J.B., appointed as D-PAC Representative.  S.D. will no longer be able to fulfill her role as D-PAC Rep. 

D-PAC Meeting (PAC 101) K.C. and K.B. attended meeting.  Work on the bylaws.  D.L. will help out with it.

Hot Chocolate Sale (Gr. 6/7 Fundraiser) About $290 profit

No Treasurer Report (A.C. not in attendance)

 

Fundraising Update (K.B.)

Brought up some other fundraising ideas such as:

Gift Card Fundraiser (Will look up different companies)
Selling Samosas (Golden Bakery in Delta)
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

 

Jan and Jul Raingear
Neufeld Farms (Felt products were too expensive)
 

Purdy’s Chocolates Fundraiser raised over $800.00

Canada Post offers a grant that we could possibly use towards our annual Welcome Back Community BBQ

Movie Night (Nov. 2024) Good turnout.  Not as busy as our first one last Spring.  Mostly primary students in attendance.  Movie had to be cut short due to technical issues with the DVD player. 
Will start planning for another one Spring 2025
 

Hot Lunch Update (K.C.)

Japanese on Thursday Dec. 5, 2024

Two more until the end of the year (Treat Day, Dec. 18 and Westcoast Poke, Dec. 19)

Movie night follow up (finished movie today, Nov. 27. 45 mins left.  Students who were in attendance for movie night watched it in the gym)

Cybersafe and Exploration

Parking Lot Painting – No movement.  Still on the waitlist

Winter Concert- Dec. 19 (1pm and 6pm performance) and Dec. 20 (Classes can watch each others performances)

Days of Giving- Collection of monetary donations and jackets for warmth.  Have decided not to collect nonperishable foods this year.

Staff meeting next Monday Dec. 2, 2024

Dec. 19, 2024- Report cards on MyEd Term 1

Additional staffing of EA’s.  Will go from 13 to 14.  EA to start first week of December

 

Recycling Program- PAC will take over this program and all funds will go to PAC.  Gr. 6/7 teachers will not take it over as they feel there is already too much on their plate.

Roundtable Discussion

Movie Night- Date set for April 11, 2025

Prowl-A-Thon- Date set for May 9, 2025 (or May 23, 2025 depends on weather)

PAC Minutes to go on school website

Staff Appreciation was tied in with Gr. 7 Farewell luncheon last year

Gr. 7 Grad Committee (Email to all parents who would be interested in joining the committee)

Treats- In the budget for the students (Grad)

Replace hockey nets by the playground
