Finally being allowed for the community to come together, Walter Lee School hosted a Welcome Back Barbecue in partnership with the Walter Lee PAC.  This is one way for our community to establish supportive relationship as stated in Casel's SEL framework.  Feedback we received:

• "it has been so long since we have been able to do this!"
• "nice to be able to talk with my son's teachers face to face..."
• "we are sitting with families that we haven't seen in a really long time..."
• "it is really great to be able to talk with so many teachers from the school"

The community was encouraged to share their thoughts on 2 questions:

1. What can I do to make Walter Lee a great place to be?
2. What do you love about being a part of the Walter Lee community?
