Gr. 7 to 8 Transition 2024

Dear Parents/Guardians of Grade 7 Students,

Welcome back to school! You may be starting to wonder about secondary school for your child and their transition to Grade 8 next September.

Grade 7 students are automatically registered at their neighbourhood catchment secondary school based on the current residential address. There is no need to do any additional paperwork or registration and you will be contacted by your catchment secondary school over the next few weeks. If you are unsure what your catchment secondary school is, please visit the school district website and use the school locator tool.

If a student wishes to apply to attend a school other than their secondary catchment school, they must complete and submit a Transfer Application Form. These forms can be downloaded from the district website here.

Completed transfer applications need to be emailed to the requested school(s) office during the First Round Transfer Application Period beginning February 5, 2024 and ending on February 29, 2024. Any applications received after this deadline will be considered late transfer applications. Please note that all transfer applications are subject to available physical, program, and resource space at the requested secondary school.
