Our Learning & Actions for 2017-18
This year, Walter Lee staff are committed to engaging in professional development around increasing student engagement and connecting to the core competencies in the re-designed curriculum. This Professional Learning Network series will be led by Faye Brownlie and consist of 3 Professional Development days beginning on September 25th. Included within these sessions will be a variety of breakout sessions led by various Richmond teachers along with opportunities to collaborate with and learn from our colleagues within the district. We believe the more exposure staff have in working with the core competencies, the better they can teach, assess and report on them.
Our Evidence for 2017-18
Evidence will come in the form of performance based assessments, report card data, surveys and through conversations with all stakeholder groups. We will continue to work closely with our Area Counsellor Team (ACT) support contact to work with the school in developing strategies and creating a school wide awareness in our goal area. This will be done through our PRIDE family team activities, school-wide assemblies and guest speakers to the school.
