Principal's Message

Welcome to Walter Lee Elementary School! Each school year is filled with many opportunities for us to learn and grow together, and we want to ensure that these experiences are the best possible for you and your children. We have many exciting adventures on the horizon and this website will help to ensure you are up-to-date on the many happenings at our school.

One of our goals at Walter Lee is to make the experience of education a meaningful, challenging and rewarding one for all members of our community. By building on children's strengths in a caring and dynamic learning environment, we can make your child's experience at school a positive and rewarding one. Education is truly a partnership; we value and rely on your involvement in your child's educational program.

The purpose of this website is to share with you some important information about Walter Lee Elementary School and about the Richmond School District. In addition to this website, our parent handbook calendar and monthly newsletters provide more information about school programs and events. School staff welcome visits and telephone calls from parents. Our PAC (Parent Advisory Council) meets monthly in the second week of each month. PAC meetings offer further opportunities to learn about and become involved in the life of the school.

On behalf of the staff at Walter Lee, I would like to extend a warm invitation to you to join us in making your child's education as rich and rewarding as possible. Please contact me or any of our school staff if you have questions regarding our school and its programs and policies.

Mr. K. Elcombe, Principal
Walter Lee Elementary
